The Peoples PrincessI heard Diana's voice when I read this...and knew that this is what she would tell us all.... if she could.

Diana lit up the world with her kindness. She never allowed personal sadness to spoil the enjoyment of those that came to see her, even when her own life was in turmoil.

She always remembered her father's belief that everyone should be treated with the same care and respect. It was her genuine compassion for those less fortunate that is the real legacy she left behind and passed on to her sons.

It is a legacy of love...and it is through that love that these words come.

Lady Heather O'Brien
To Those I Love

When I die, give what's left of me to the children and the old men that want to die.
And if you want to cry, cry for your brother walking in the street beside you.
And when you need me, put your arms around someone wanting
to be held and give them what you need to give me.

Look for me, in the people I have loved.
And if you cannot give me away at least let me
live less in the anguish of your heart than in the
sparkle of your eyes.
You can love me most by letting hands touch hands,
and letting go of what needs to be free.
Love does not die....people do....
so when all that's left of me is love, give me away.
I'll see you at home in heaven..
